    TD 944 magazine article- Here’s a screen shot of an interview I did recently w/ Kisha Henderson of Atlanta’s 944 magazine. Though I am not from Milford, Connecticut, but rather NEW Milford, Connecticut (for the props/respect record)- I was happy to see that she got down to what matters most, the real stuff, the nitty gritty, the bees-kneez, and capitalized “ManiAc” the way I intended for it to be capitalized when asking about my ever so reserved song “Nympho ManiAc” I hope you all enjoy and thank you to Kisha Henderson, everyone at 944 magazine and the beautiful people of Atlanta…you guys rock!     Last day of mixing EVERY PERFECT WAY

    Hey everybody!

    So I’m happy to report that this is the last day of mixing Every Perfect Way here in New York City.  I know it’s been a long haul, but I appreciate everyone’s patience and support very much.  It’s very surreal sitting here and remembering where this song was when I first started working on it with Producer/Engineer Mike Rogers and to see what it has exploded in to.  Every once in a while you come across someone that is just willing to put it all on the line or put in that extra hour of work each day….and boy it shows.  These are the people I am so fortunate to have on my team and in my life.  It’s very simple…without them I wouldn’t be where I am now.  So now you ask what happens next Tom?  Well…that is up to you!  I need all the support that you can give me and this song right now!  Every Perfect Way will be availiable everywhere online in a few weeks and you can check out all the new goodness at www.tomdobson.com

    Earth Day….and I’m comping vocals on a polar bear rug.

    Just kidding about the polar bear rug thing, BUT I’m in the studio today (uptown Manhattan) and were comping some vocals on my next single due out sometime in August.  It’s a tedious process, but one that I as well as my engineer enjoy.  We get to sift through takes upon takes of very similar but very different vocals.  It’s an art in itself to find the vocal that will help me make the statement that I want for this song.  I wish I had more to say right now, haha but thats about it.  I’m going to try and really make it a habit to start blogging about my work and my progress.  I’ll keep you posted…
